How do I sign up to be a host?
YOU can be a HighRiser! Call the Resident Life Office of Programs and Outreach at (301) 314-4255 (x4-HALL for on campus) or visit the office in 1111 Annapolis Hall and fill out a flyer.
Please do...
- Be on time to pick up your guest (women must arrive by 6:15 p.m. and men must arrive by 7:15 p.m.)
- Present a positive attitude toward the University
- Take your guest on a tour of the residence hall community (walking or shuttle)
- Give your guest a tour of the Eppley Recreation Center
- Introduce your guest to your friends
- Make your guest feel welcome
- Take your guest to the dining hall
- Take your guest to the Hoff Theater with the free pass we provide to you
- Go to TerpZone for free bowling or billiards with your guest
- Stay on Campus
- Answer any questions your guest may have
- Have a clean room, as your guest will sleep on your floor in a sleeping bag
- Follow all state and federal policies
- Escort your guest to the front of Stamp Student Union at 8:45 a.m. the next morning for the Spring Open House
Please don't...
- Go off campus
- Consume alcohol, even if you or your guest are over 21
- Break any other University or Resident Life rules
- Leave your guest
- Treat your guest like a burden
- Be late to pick up your guest
- Sit in your room the entire time
