The University of Maryland is a vast and diverse campus community which boasts over 25,000 undergraduate students and is located only 8 miles from our nation’s capital.
It’s very easy to get involved in student life. We have intramural sports, more than 300 student clubs and several Living and Learning programs. The campus itself is full of beautiful architecture surrounding the mall where students can study, toss a disc, or just relax.
We have a number of new buildings with state of the art facilities, including the Clarice Smith Performance Arts Center, Van Munching (home of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, a national Top 25 undergraduate business program), the Kim Engineering Building, Aquatic Pathobiology Center, the Comcast Center, and the Eppley Recreation Center.
Our Division One sports teams are something to be proud of. This decade, Field Hockey, Men’s Soccer, and both Men’s and Women’s Basketball have won NCAA Championships. We have lots of reasons for Terp Pride!
