Room Selection 2008 

Resident Life asked for an increase of $115 (2.2%) for rooms in traditional halls and suites. Dining Services asked for an increase of $140 (3.9%) for each of the dining plans.
Upon approved by the Board of Regents, fees for the 2008-2009 academic year will total $9,109 (housing including data, phone and cable at $5,402 and Resident Dining Plan at $3,707). Residents of kitchen-equipped apartments in Leonardtown, South Hill and St. Mary’s Hall will pay $5,630 for housing for the year ($120 increase, 2.2%), plus the cost of a dining plan if any is selected. Housing fees include furnished room with a shared telephone line offering unlimited local and campus calling, smoke alarm and sprinkler, 10Mbps data line per person, 100% wireless internet coverage and cable television jack per person.
The fee each semester is $4,554.50 for residents of traditional halls and suites where a Dining Services-approved dining plan is required. Students who live in triples and quads are charged at a reduced rate of 15% off the basic housing rate ($4,149.35 per semester). The fee each semester is $2,815 for residents of kitchen-equipped apartments ($2,392.75 for apartment triples) assuming no dining plan, although these residents are welcome to purchase a dining plan at their option, including the Apartment Plan.
